Characteristics and use:

BARRIER is an anti-dirt, anti-deterioration finisher for external wooden surfaces: floors, walls, garden furniture, structures, etc.

BARRIER:

is a water-based product, not dangerous and easy to use;
is strongly recommended at the end of treatments with oil-wax impregnating agents (e.g. HYDROIL ESTERNO, FLUOIL, OLIO41, OLIO RAVVIVANTE), as it protects the wooden surfaces from wear and tear over time and prolongs the life of the treatment;
forms a waxy-resin micro-layer on the material that is easy to apply, which increases resistance to wear and tear and aging and which gives further water-repellent, stain-resistant, and anti-degradation protection, with excellent resistance to UV rays;
can also be applied to protect external surfaces (e.g. windows, doors, and windows) in aluminum, rubber, plastics, PVC, and painted wood;
does not alter the natural aspect of the material and brightens its color;
does not form films or glossy films and leaves a good vapor permeability to the material;
makes surfaces easier and faster to clean.

During maintenance, it is advisable to clean the treated surface with the DETERCLEAN detergent and to apply the BARRIER product at least once every 6-12 months (in spring and autumn), in order to restore the material’s protection.

How to use

Shake before using;
Apply BARRIER in small quantities on the dry surface to be treated and distribute a thin and uniform layer with a fleece spreader, soft cloth, or sponge depending on the size of the surface to be treated;
Do not walk on the product during drying and avoid the formation of excesses.

Generally dries in 1-2 hours.
Avoid applying to surfaces that are too heated by sunlight.

Yield:

Approximately 1lt / 30 – 40 m2.

How often should it be applied?

It is advisable to apply it twice a year and clean it previously with DETER CLEAN.

Why is it advisable to use it over protective impregnating agents?

Because it increases the wood protection and above all protects the base impregnating agent, avoiding its rapid degradation. In fact, it is not essential to impregnate wooden surfaces treated with BARRIER every year. This is in order to avoid long and tiring re-impregnation work.
