Description

Characteristics and use:

LIGNOLIFE OPACO is a carnauba-based resin-waxy finisher, specific for restoring parquet or opaque varnished wood.

LIGNOLIFE OPACO:

is an easy-to-use, odorless, water-based product;
can be applied to all internal opaque varnished wood surfaces (parquet, coatings, furniture, doors), where the paint has lost tone;
gives a new tone to the material and a natural opaque finish;
gives new protection to the paint, and is resistant to wear from foot traffic, dirt, water, and detergents;
is a self-levelling product;
is easy to maintain over time with ordinary cleaning with the PULIBRILL detergent and with the application of BEAUTY FLOOR OPACO maintenance wax once every 6-12 months.

On wooden surfaces, LIGNOLIFE OPACO cannot replace repainting in the points where the paint has been completely removed by wear (eg gray stains and places where the wood is simply wet with water).

How to use

Before applying LIGNOLIFE OPACO, perform an extraordinary cleaning with PULIBRILL and WHITE BUFFER, in order to degrease the surface.

Shake well before use;
Apply 2 coats of LIGNOLIFE OPACO. The product is distributed with a fleece spreader, microfibre cloth, or sponge. It should be applied in a thin layer, wetting the surface evenly and without leaving excesses;
Apply the second coat as soon as the first is dry;
It dries quickly, usually in 2 – 3 hours in well-ventilated areas.

Avoid applying the product on surfaces that are too hot (e.g. radiant floors or floors exposed directly to the sun’s rays).

Yield:

1 lt / 30-40 m² (for single passage).

LIGNOLIFE OPACO is the wax for parquet specific for the restoration of opaque painted floors with a natural effect that gives a new tone to the parquet floors protecting them from washing and wear.

How often should LIGNOLIFE OPACO be reapplied?

Once applied it must be maintained with BEAUTY FLOOR OPACO wax.

Does LIGNOLIFE remove scratches?

LIGNOLIFE OPACO gives a film-like finish to the material, restoring tone, color, and shine, and removing micro-abrasions and micro-scratches. Furthermore, the product acts as a protective screen against external agents (foot traffic, detergents, UV rays).

Does it apply to new floors?

The product is recommended for restoring worn floors.

Can I apply LIGNOLIFE OPACO on heavily worn and grayed wooden floors?

In cases like this the painting is degraded and unrecoverable and it would be necessary to re-cover the floor to have an excellent result. But if you do not want to renew, but recover the wood to give it a more or less uniform tone you can apply LIGNOLIFE OPACO as a final finisher, following this system of cleaning and restoring the surface:

STAIN REMOVING CLEANING: to remove the graying of the wood and remove stains, apply SMACCHIO LEGNO and BLUE BUFFER in the grayed areas as per the instructions on the label.
GENERAL EXTRAORDINARY CLEANING: PULIBRILL and BLUE BUFFER are used as per the instructions on the label.
RESTORATION OF THE COMPLETELY DEGRADED AREAS: in the areas without stains thanks to the product SMACCHIO LEGNO, in which the paint was completely degraded, the product OLIO RAVVIVANTE is applied as instructed, in order to saturate and protect the porosity of the wood.
FINAL FINISHING: apply LIGNOLIFE OPACO as per instructions.
